Job Summary
The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, handling invoices, monitoring transactions, and ensuring accurate accounting practices within the organization. The role supports the finance department in maintaining compliance and smooth financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records and financial transactions
- Prepare invoices, vouchers, purchase orders, and payment records
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Monitor expenses and ensure budget compliance
- Process employee reimbursements and vendor payments
- Maintain accurate documentation of financial records
- Support internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation, and company policies
- Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and internal departments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Tally, ERP software, MS Excel, and accounting tools
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in accounting or finance roles
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, taxation, and statutory compliance
- Familiarity with payroll processing and financial audits
